Arizona School Rankings
If you have school age children and are moving to a new neighborhood you should check
the Arizona school rankings or Arizona school ratings to make sure you will be living
in an area serviced by a good school.
The difficulty for a parent is what Arizona school rankings should you look at?
There are AIMS testing results, independent ratings by parents, and all schools in Arizona are
ranked by the "AZ learns" system.
(Clicking the following link will take you to a website where you can download the most recent
Arizona school rankings.)
My suggestion is to review whatever information you can get your hands on. So that's what I have tried to
provide you with here.
The link above provides the governmental grading for the school. The map below gives you the rankings by
an independent web site as well as parental reviews.
You can use the map to find which schools are near the neighborhoods you are considering moving to and then
narrow click on the schools to get the information. The default search is for the northwest valley, but I
suggest clicking on the search function and entering the city or zip code that you are considering.
While being in a good school district and sending your child to one of the excelling schools in Arizona are
important, the most important factor in my experience is the teacher. There are good and bad teachers at every school so once
enrolled be sure to get the inside scoop from the parents in the neighborhood to find out which teachers to
request.
